In the heart of the enchanting Lunigiana hills, Locanda de Banchieri has been lovingly restored, preserving its quintessential Tuscan charm. Elegantly perched along the gentle slope of the land, every corner breathes the essence of a region rich in history and tradition.

Originally the residence of the Malaspina, a noble family of 14th-century Lunigiana, the property later came under the ownership of the Pistoian De' Banchieri family. It was transformed into an important coaching inn, a vital crossroads for the marble trade from the ancient Port of Luni. Today, transformed into a resort of rare beauty, Locanda de Banchieri welcomes guests to its upper-floor rooms. The ground floor rooms and the terrace, overlooking three hectares of gardens and the sea—key elements of our cuisine—offer spaces where you can savor the scents and flavors of Lunigiana.

Chef Giacomo Devoto’s cuisine is an ode to sophistication, a journey through local culinary traditions, with each dish celebrating the freshness and seasonality of garden and market produce.
